We were blessed with unexpected showers today, and as Selena and I folded laundry, enjoying the sounds of the rain on the roof, I noticed a humming bird, out on the a feeder pole. The little guy was obviously enjoying the rain, as he was fluttering, and dancing on the pole.
Selena and I took a break from the laundry and watched him, relishing the sight. I thought, grab your camera! Which I did, and shot off a few pics. The little guy was entertaining, to say the least. He’d rear his head into the rain, fan his tail and flutter his wings. Ever so often, he’d take a break, and work his bill on the feeder pole bar.
What a sight. He was enjoying the respite from the heat, and it looked like he was having fun.
We should do that too, take a break from everything that is going on. Sometimes you just gotta “Dance in the Rain,” releasing yourself from the toil of everyday life. Although Selena and I didn’t join the hummer out in the rain, we did take that moment to forget everything that’s going on in our lives.
So, when are you going to get out, and Dance in the Rain?
