Bumps in the road, maybe a pot hole, anyway, we all have them. Things that make life, Not So Smooth.
I’ve had a few of those.
In 2006, I had a motorcycle wreck, which blew out my right ankle. A lady looked right at me and then pulled right out in front of me. I wrecked, trying to avoid hitting her. I didn’t, but my motorcycle did, right after I laid it over, destroying my right ankle, but pulling me off the bike. My Yamaha slid under her car. I bounced a few times and came to a stop.
In 2010 I had THE JOB FROM HELL. It put me in the hospital. I was hauled to the ER, from work, with stroke like symptoms. We still don’t have answers. I’ve had “seizures,” since then.
2014, I had to have a double by pass. I’ve been a heart patient since 1998, but have had it under control, until last year. Got in, got the pipes fixed and I’ve been good to go.
So, here’s another bump in the road. Two weeks ago, I took a fall in the closet, slamming my right shoulder against the gun safe. I partially tore two tendons. Damn!! I have several motorcycle trips planned. Yeah, surgery is in the plans.
Now, all this stuff doesn’t come cheap, it costs money. Luckily, Selena and I have a good emergency fund, so these events, are just bumps in the road. Emotionally, and physically, it’s the same thing. Can’t let stuff like this mess up life. I almost did, but I’m not going to anymore.
